ELDER STATESMAN, Professor Anya Oko Anya will be Lead Speaker at the next edition of Men’s Breakfast Roundtable on Saturday, July 8, 2017.

Holding at Bluenest Hotels, 9, Osolo Way, just off the Murtala Mohammed Airport Road, Ikeja, the theme is ‘The Men Nigeria Needs Now!’ Coming against the background of the current geo-political sabre-rattling in the country and role of men in it, it promises to be time soul-searching, reflection and agenda-setting for the men from all walks of life gathering at the breakfast meeting.

Men’s Breakfast Roundtable is Kingdom Men Global Network’s gathering of men for the discussion of issues which the pulpits do not handle. A sizeable part of the four-hour programme is devoted to an interactive session of questions and comments from the men in attendance including pastors and church leaders and many more.

Professor Anya, an elder of the Presbyterian Church is one of Nigeria’s leading lights, a biologist of international repute who has also served meritoriously in the economic sphere.

A Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Science, a Chartered Biologist, a Fellow of the Institute of Biology of the United Kingdom and a renowned Professor of Zoology, Prof Anya  was conferred with the Nigerian National Order of Merit (NNOM), the highest award in Nigeria for distinguished academic achievement, in 1992.

He has held several important public service positions including President of the Nigerian Academy of Science, founding CEO of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group and as Chairman of the Governing Board of the Nigerian National Merit Award.

Professor Anya also sits on or has served on the Board of several other successful companies as Chairman or Director. He is also engaged in various advisory capacities on ways and means to grow the economy. He also served as a member of the Advisory Committee on National Dialogue.
